Job Description
The Industrial Electrician will maintain and troubleshoot factory equipment from various suppliers to improve and maximize reliability. They will develop and maintain key programs to ensure we have a sustainable electrical and control systems in place; while fostering learning within the technical group, support training and apprenticeships.
Reporting Location: Guelph, ON
Compensation: $41.53 / hour
Shift differential: 6% - 8% of base hourly rate shift differential paid for applicable hours worked
Schedule: Day Shift 4 days on, 4 days off

Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible for effective troubleshooting, repair, installation, and preventative maintenance of facility electrical distribution systems and equipment in an industrial setting.
- Ensure safe plant operations and a safe working environment for all associates.
- Owns the ESA logbook
- Conduct planned preventive & predictive maintenance and keep maintenance records
- Program, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial equipment and automation including PLCs, HMI, frequency drives, temperature control and other related devices
- Develop and maintain PLC Logic control of changes and revision program
- Maintain factory software, including PLC and related subscriptions
- Recommend and initiate cost saving methods for optimal budget performance
- Demonstrate proficiency in safe behaviors and adherence to all BlueTriton Brands health and safety policies and procedures
- Embrace different ways of working and adopt the usage of TPM tools, such as Break Down Analysis, to continuously improve and drive a reduction of break downs
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Secondary school diploma
- Industrial Electrician License 442A is a requirement
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong working knowledge of HMI's, electric motor controls, programmable logic controllers, basic wiring circuits and skills necessary to safely test common electrical systems and make minor repairs where permitted
- Networking experience is an asset
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SAP)
- Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills to explain and teach processes
- Able to work well under pressure in a period of extensive growth and change
