Job Description

Reporting Location: Poland, ME

Pay: $24.62 / hour

Schedule: Wednesday – Friday: 10:00 am – 6:30 pm; Saturday – Sunday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Ability to work weekends and holidays per business needs is required

 

Responsibilities
Support docking operations, including manual docking in TMS and carrier training
Provide weekend dispatch, customer service, and OS&D support, including load coverage and issue escalation
Follow up on late loads and provide updated ETAs to warehouses
Coordinate freight movements across multiple transport modes (truckload, LTL, intermodal)
Optimize load planning and routing using TMS to improve efficiency
Resolve real-time delays and exceptions through carrier and stakeholder communication
Analyze transportation data to enhance service levels and drive continuous improvement
Maintain and update the after-hours carrier contact list
Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or Logistics and Supply Chain is preferred but not required
1 -2 years’ experience in logistics or transportation operations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) is required
Experience in SAP, TMP, or other ERP software preferred
Self-motivated and capable of working independently without direct supervision
Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent interpersonal abilities
Exceptional customer service, problem-solving, critical thinking, planning, and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and effectively communicate with both internal and external team members
