Job Description
We currently have an opening for Planning Manager supporting our West Factories. This role is based out of Ontario, California.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
•Track competencies of subordinates and provide leadership and development as required.
•Create and control Master Production Schedule that maximizes production capabilities while balancing demand of a rolling forecast.
•Perform detailed capacity assessments that identify gaps and create plans to optimize utilization.
•Prepare and maintain detailed production schedules coordinated with manufacturing, marketing, and sales to facilitate superior customer service.
•Coordinate product availability within the supply chain, customer service, and marketing functions.
•Develop short and long- term capacity models that will be used to develop budgets.
•Maintain expertise in systems knowledge and recommend new procedures to enhance the performance of the planning and scheduling system.
•Provide scheduling and demand history reports on an as needed basis.
•Create and analyze spreadsheets, charts, graphs and reports relating to backorders, inventory, fill rates and other critical business issues.
• Maintain, control, and execute master raw material plan.
•All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Key qualifications include:
•Four-year degree preferred; will accept experience in lieu of degree. APICS – desirable (or nice to have)
•Five years of experience in scheduling, capacity planning and manufacturing leadership
•Proficient in MS Access, Excel, and Microsoft Office
•Proficient in SAP applications
•Demonstrated ability to negotiate and arrive at win/win solutions
•Advanced organization skills and excellent follow-up skills
•Ability to communicate and interface proficiently on computer, phone, and in person to work cross functionally within multiple departments
•Self Starter who requires minimal direct supervision
•Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
•Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal and leadership skills
•Reliable, motivated, dedicated, and committed
Pay Range: $109,350-$122,943. This role is eligible for a 15% annual bonus.
