Quality Assurance Supervisor

Job Description

Our supply chain organization is responsible for the sourcing, production and distribution of our water products for the end customer.  Our home and office supply chain produces our products in 6-gallon, 5-gallon and 3-gallon returnable bottles for delivery to customer’s homes and businesses.  Our retail product is produced in a number of portable PET packages.

We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to oversee Jersey City and Somerset, New Jersey (3 days in Jersey City and 2 days in Somerset).

The Quality Assurance Resource will have primary accountability for developing and leading the plant Quality environment for the production of bottled water.  The QA Resource will develop and continuously improve plant procedures for monitoring and ensuring conformance to specifications for incoming raw materials as well as for finished product.  
 
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Compliance and record keeping for all mandated quality checks, testing, sampling and sanitation activities.
• Assist with supervision of QA technicians (Tasks).
• Tracking, analyzing, and leading initiatives for all quality and customer complaint issues within the plant.
• Provide leadership within plant for company Quality initiatives and Quality audits.
• Provide front line leadership during shift
• Manage budgeting, purchasing and inventory of plant operating supplies such as filters, chemicals and lab supplies.
• Monitor over fill and water usage reporting.
• Provide development opportunities to QA technicians through cross-training initiatives and setting clear objectives.

Qualifications

Key qualifications include:

• Prior QA experience (3-5 years) with beverage or other food products.

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or biological sciences.  Other technical degree may be considered.

• Microbiology Laboratory management

• Manufacturing line inspection

• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control, HACCP, sanitation, and hygienic design
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Person must have sound administrative and computer skills.
• Person must be self-directed, assertive, be able to process information and provide an effective follow-up process on objectives, possess the maturity commensurate with being an effective resource.

Pay Range: $101,837 - $129,084. This role is eligible for a 10% annual bonus.
