Job Description

The Mobile Fleet Technician (Lead Fleet Technician) primary purpose will require the individual to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment including gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, air brakes, forklifts, tankers and trailers.

Reporting Location: Charlotte, NC facility (responsible for multiple locations) 

Occasional site visits to our North and South Carolina locations (to audit work of 3rd party vendors) required

Sign On Bonus: $2500 payable after 90 days of employment
Pay: $34.00 - $40.00 / hour
Additional Differential Offered: .30 - .50 cents per hour for applicable hours worked

Shift and Schedule: Monday - Friday, flexible work schedule, 2nd Shift, Full-time,

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Troubleshoot and repair fleet vehicles and equipment
  • Program and record assigned preventative maintenance tasks
  • Assist in education of the Route Sales Representatives’ pre and post-trip inspections
  • Receive and process invoices for payment
  • Act as vendor billing point of contact as needed and maintain parts inventory and budget
  • Maintain work area ensuring organization and cleanliness along with ensuring safe work practices
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in commercial fleet repair
  • Proficient diagnostic tools and Microsoft office programs
  • The ability to bend, stretch, twist, and lift up to 60 pounds repeatedly is required
  • Experience in engine repair, hydraulic systems, drive train assemblies, suspension chassis, electrical troubleshooting, and repair
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain CDL B commercial license prior to starting 
  • ASE Certification required within specified period of time
  • Must possess personal tools
